1 - Log in to Private Office:

  • A. Enter the URL private-office.myrealpage.com
  • B. Enter your username (the email address you used when signing up).
  • C. Enter your password (which you chose during the sign-up process).
  • D. Click Login.



2 - From the Dashboard:

  • A. Click the Website tab.
  • B. Click All Web Pages.



3 - From the Web Pages list:

  • A. Locate the page you want to edit.
  • B. Click on Page Editor.



4 - On the Page you want to add the weblet to:

  • A. Click the + buttons on the left side of the larger Edit button to add a weblet above or below the current weblet. OR
  • B. Click the +Add content here button to add a weblet in that position.



5 - From The Weblet Selector:

  • A. In the search box, start typing: "RSS"
  • B. Select the RSS weblet box


6 - Setting Up The RSS Weblet:

  • A. Enter a feed url
  • B. Choose on of the three options (Click here to see the options below)
  • C. Click to open the feed for testing
  • D. You can choose to use the default title from the feed, or creat your own
  • E. Select the title element from H1-H6, bold & regular text
  • F. Select the amount of items to show(From 1 to 10)
  • G. Choose to randomize the posts
  • H. Format with title only or titles and content
  • I. Choose the item’s abbreviated amount and if you want to convert to plain text
  • J. Choose to open the link in a new window or the same window
  • K. Create a “Read More” link label
  • L. *Advanced* Choose a date method by refering to this link
  • M. Check to hide the feed date
  • N. Check to hide the feed source and copyright info
  • O. Change the feeds encoding (If you find that the feed text includes a lot of undesirable or incorrect characters you may need to manually adjust this setting)
  • P. Click Save weblet




Using Common News Sources

  • A. Select an option from the drop down
  • B. Click OK
  • Complete Step 6


Using Your Web Pages

  • A. Select the page to use the feed from
  • B. Choose to show images or not
  • C. Select how you want to align the images
  • D. Click OK
  • Complete Step 6


Some weblets on your websites are capable of generating RSS feeds. For example, your Blog, Testimonials, Awards, Reports, Snippets are capable. You can choose a page that contains one of these weblets as the source of your RSS feed. 


Please be sure to test the feed by clicking the "Open Feed URL" button (Step 6-C), once you pick a page, in order to make sure that the page is capable of generating it.



Using Your Listings

  • A. Choose your listing source
  • B. Choose to show images or not
  • C. Select how you want to align the images
  • D. Set a width for your images to show
  • E. Click OK
